2009 Ghana Club 100

The Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC) is pleased to announce that it is organising the Ghana Club 100 (GC100), 2009 Awards, under the theme “Celebrating Ghana’s Business Leaders”.

Criteria
Pursuant to extensive consultations with key stakeholders, this year’s awards are based on revised criteria to reflect current national development needs.  Under these criteria, 65% of the score will be derived from the audited accounts of businesses where factors such as actual growth, profitability and return on equity will be considered. The remaining 35% will be based on a peer review mechanism. As part of this peer review process questionnaires will be sent to selected stakeholder representatives in the public and private sector.
Based on information received from the above criteria, businesses will be categorised according to the broad ten sectors within which they fall i.e.  Agric and Agribusiness, Financial Services, ICT, Services, Infrastructure, Petroleum and Mining Services, Manufacturing, Tourism, Health and Education.

Awards

There will be awards for the first ten businesses in each of these ten broad sectors leading to the hundred businesses for the GC 100.  There will also be Special Awards for outstanding business performers in particular categories.
